Trump Separates Children From Parents On Border
"They could be murderers and thieves and so much else".
"We want a safe Country, and it starts with the borders, and that's the way it is".
No, Mr. President, that's not the way it is. You don't just pull ~2,000 children away from their parents and then just sit here and say that's just how it is. You sound like a 13 year old stubborn child talking to their parents.
Oh wait...they can't because of you.
Please excuse me, just a little anger this morning.
This is not a partisan issue that needs to be debated in any committee or on any house floor. I think we can all agree that Immigration needs some attention, but this is just too much, too far.
This is way beyond the government shutdowns that we had earlier this year. This is simply a moral question of right or wrong.
In this case, it's completely wrong.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I am pretty sure there is absolutely no legislation we have that says it is okay to detain children and take them away from their parents.
Notice how I keep saying the word "wrong"?
How can anyone find this process necessary? What world do we live in?
Carrying out such an act is not the way to pressure lawmakers into changing the laws how you want them to be changed. Hurting innocent people and families and then claiming that it's a partisan issue that can just be solved by the Democrats if they give into your thoughts/ideas is not how this works.
I am sick of the games, the threats, the broken promises, the Tweets.
What kind of leader are you, Mr. President, to trap thousands of young children in cells who have done absolutely nothing wrong.
Leave the children out of this. Be a leader. Find a way to get your parties controlled House and Senate to vote on Bipartisan Legislation that is healthy for the United States.
I applaud those Representatives who have worked tirelessly to get legislation ready to vote on later this week, I just hope something succeeds and something gets passed so these immoral internment holding cages are never used again.
